BURIAL OF A NATIVE CHIEF.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Gkkytowx North, Monday. The remains of the young chief liiti Eaugi Bawiri were brought from tlio Hutt on Saturday, and interred in the Papawai eemetry yesterday, A large cortege of Maories and Europeans, preceded by the Maori band, followed the body to the eemetry. A Native service was conducted by the Rev W. Bowse.
