Wb are glad to learn that tho Gas Committee of the Borough Council is at last taking steps in tho right direction to abate the gas nuisance in this town, It is a pity that the Committco did not act at an earlier date, but as far as we can learn it is now keenly alive to its responsible ties to tho public and a better condition of affairs is pretty certain to be the result.
