MASTERTON-THUHSDAY. (BeforeMr T. Hutchinson, S.M.) Sage v Hunter.—Mr A, R. Bunny on behalf of the defendant applied for a fortnight's adjournment. Mr C. A. Pownall for the plaintiff objected ; but after discussion consented to a months' adjournment, costs to be paid by the defendant, Smith v Long.—Claim £5 5s 4d for articles supplied and cash lent. Judgment for plaintiff by default with 10s costs. Chamberlain Bros, v McGill.— Claim, for £4lßs 7d for goods supplied. Judgment,for plaintiff by default with costs. McKeev. Thompson.—This was a claim for 12s 4d for a whip, alleged to have been taken from the plaintiff's daughter, by the the defendant's son, After several witnesses had been called, His Worship explained to the plaintiff that he had made no case against the defendant, but that there was a prima facie case against the son, who should have been sued instead of the father. His Worshiptlien non-suited the plaintiff withoutcosts. Mr W. 6. Beard appeared for tlio defendant, W.F.C.A, v. John Hayes.—This was a case in which'the defendant was sued on a judgment summons obtained against him by the above association. The defendant stated that he had, within the last year, been over two mouths out of employment, and that he had had sickness in his family, which necessitated a constant outlay, After argument, His Worship made an order for the payment of £1 per month, first instalment to be paid on Ist July. Mr Bunny appeared for the Association. Murray v. Z. Henderson.—Claim for £6 18s for ornaments supplied. Judgment for plaintiff by default, with costs.
