(From Our Own Correspondent). Monday. •Some amusement was caused in Fitzlierbert Street on Saturday afternoon when the footballers were about to take their departure for Carterton, for instead of only one vehicle appearing on the scene two appeared and there was a very lengthy discussion as to which should receive the patronage. Ultimately some went in Cuudy's coach and some in Scarl's drag, but an enquiry is to take place next Saturday.

An inquest into the late fire at Bock's goods shed is to take place after the sitting of the S,M. Court this morning.

The younger footballers of the Fcatherston School journeyed to Martiuboro last Saturday to play the Waihengaboys. The game resulted in a win for tho Fcatherston team by six points, the scores being Fcatherston 0 points, Waihenga 3 points.
