EKETAHUNA NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)! | Monday. A meetinyof the Eketahuna Brass Band was held on Saturday evening,'! and the Finance Committee reported a creditable sum in hand. It was expected that sufficient funds,would be in hand within a fortnight to » purchase the instruments, It was also decided to hold a Masquerade and Fancy Dress Ball in June, The minstrel troupe will give a performance at Newman next Tuesday, and a bumper house is anticipated. Tho continued wet weather has considerably cut up the roads here, and repairs are badly wanted in many directions,
