TRUDGEON AGAIN.
He escapes from Gaol,
(From Our Own Correspondent),
Ghkttown, Friday
Tho man Trudgeon alias Barker, who was brought from Pahiatua yesterday, on a charge of liovbo stealing, broke aboard from the gaol at Greytown this morning nnd escaped. He also broko tho lock of tho stable, and stole the police horse, going out through the Courthouse yard. Constablo Eccleton wont to the cell at midnight and all was secure, but at sis this morning disvovered his departure. He was searched by Constable Cooper last; night and no tool was found. Ho evidently prised the boards off with a small weapon, The air hole was left open, and probably a'fi'iond passed the instrument to him.
