Friday. On Monday, T. Campbell was charged before Mr J. G. Cox, with being drunk and disorderly; lie was fined 10s and costs, and cautioned as to his future behaviour.

Ashe pleaded guilty to the theft of the quilt he was sentenced to one months imprisonment, yesterday, at Carterton, and taken to town to-day, Om-respected townsman, MrDeering, who has been away on a holiday 'up north, returned on Wednesday looking much refreshed by his trip,
