RANGITUMAU.
Considering the unpropitious woathcra very fair audience assembled in the. schoolroom last evening to hear the Rev. J. Dukes lecture on " Dr Guthrie." Mr James Stnckey occupied the chair. The musical programme was arranged by Mr Boageyand consisted of the duet " Avo Sunclissima," Mr and Mrs Boagey; solo, " Remember now thy Creator," Mr Astall; duet, " David and Goliath," Messrs Boagey and Ralph | song," A hundred fathoms deep," Mr Ralph ; duet, " At Eventide," Miss Perry and Mr Astall; quartette, ".Homoward bound," Misses Perry and Prenticeand Messrs Boagey and Ralph. Miss Williams officiated as organist. On the motion ofMrStuckey, seconded by MrG. H. Welch, a hearty vote of thanks to the lecturer ami musical friends was carried. The proceeds arc in aid of a fund to purchase an organ for use at divine service.
