' The evergreen operetta: "Dicli Whittington and His Cat," was placed on Hie boards by the Mangatainoka scliool children, under the leadership of Mr Wilson, head master, assisted by Pabiatua amateurs, on Friday evening atMaugatainoka, A good house greeted the opening piece and throughout it went very smoothly, the young folks especially gave evidence of careful (raining, and the audience-from their frequent applause - evidently were well pleased, The result financially was also highly satisfactory. The weather of late, front a dairy fanner's or grazier's point of view, has been all that desired.
