AKITIO ROAD BOARD.
Ordinary Meeting.
I The first meelin? of thenew Board was held on Thursday last. Present, Messrs Handyside, Avmstroiig,l<W man and Burling, Mr Handyside was uuamiously elected Chairman for the ensuing year.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from Comity Engineer re plans and specifications of Aoiianga Valley Road— Prom Colonial Secretary regazettiui? of new members. Resolved. - That the County Council be requested to allow their Engineer to supervise the work on No 2 contract, Aohanga Valley Eoad, and that tenders be called for 19 chains of section 10 of samo line. Accowits amounting to £2O 10.3 8d were rasped for payment. The following tenders 'were received 12066 chains of formation etc., Aohanga Valley Road :-Ar thinHerbert,£s2o 15s, accepted; declined :-P. Carr, £722; Kennedy and Co., £751; J, Anderson, £BOO.
