They were taken to the Wellington gaol yesterday evening, The was a magic lantern entertainment at St George's Hall last night by the Eev Gibson, the subject being " Perils and Adventures in Africa," by Bishop Bonnington. Mr Gibson gave a brief sketch of tbo ' life of the late Bishop. There was not a very large audience present owing probably to a counter attrac- ! tion at Martinborough. Quite a large number went from here to the' Oddfellows' ball at . Martinborough last night, which, I hear, was a thorough success. Messrs Fairbrother and Considinc : of the Licensing Committee, made a tour of inspection of the licensed houses yesterday.
