PrnW/IJOOKEtGLUS; Meeting of Stewards; A meeting of tho Stewards of the Pahiatua Jockey Club was hold'on Tuesday evening, Present—Messi'B Tosswill, (Chairman), Knight, Dr Gault, and Stewart. Tho minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. An account of £5 from Mr Coo for rent of course for half year ending June next was ordered to be paid. On tho motion of Mr Tosswill, seconded by Mi- A. Stewart, it Was resolved that all defaulters: on the unpaid forfeit list be immediately posted in the Official Calender. Tho ground committee was instructed to report upon the probablo cost of ploughing and laying down | tho racecourse in grass, the report to bo presented to a meeting to be held in about a fortnight, No other business coming forward tlio meeting adjourned.
