Masterton Wesleyan Chuich. Tho second of the fo.ttnightly winter entertainments was held in tip Weslpjan Sclioojrooffl lgsf evening, and provoa au emphatic success, Tho night was beautifully fine, and the building was packed, a great many late arrivals being unable to gain admission. A splendid littlo orchestra, consisting of Miss Williams, and Messrs G. anfl T. (W, Ginders, and Winchester, opened tie ; programme with n selection "Passing Thoughts," which was played with fine effect, and heartily pleased the audience. A rather novel, but well-rendered solo on the concertina was played by Mr J. Arthur, aud Mr Ginders as usual received great applause for his brilliant violin solo. Tho piano selections wero nicely given by the Misses A. Peterson, Ida Perry, and May Reynolds, all pupils of Miss Pearson. The singing of Messrs. Lillcy, Eobinson and Aiiien, and Miss Perry, who all contributed solos, and the di(e(a by Oran and Prentice, and Miss Porry and Mr Astall were of a high-order, and much approci. ated.
