► 1 (By Our Own Correspondent,) - Monday, The Pabietaa rolled up in good forco on Batui'day last, the clear fine weather atlriscting a fair crowd of spectators. A scratch match was played between 15 of the Pabiatua Clob and 25 all comers, the Kev, Father MoKeniia acting as referee. The fifteen bW an easy victory. The Club will he strengthened this season by the arrival here of two frosh playfirs in Walhco of Maaterton, and Harvey of Carstcrbury. Mr E. Bulli.v&n, of the Commercial Hotel, intends adding to and considerably increasing the size of his Public Hall. >The stage is to be made much more |commodious .-accessaries i|> the proscenium, the

Yet another butcher for Pahiatua 1 Mr Best, who firat commenced tlio butchery businoss in this distriot, selling out to D, Knight some four years back, has resumed thecalling between Hawora and Palnatiia.
