Wawaram Teachei's Conueisazione Yesterday evening, at tho Mastcrton Ma>n School, a thoroughly aucccsrful convorflu'siono was pen by tho Wairarapa teachers, The whole of the distriot wna well represented, and a number cf Wellington members were present, these together with tho friends and relatives who were invited mado a largo gathorinq j that seemed to folly appreciate the evening's ontertalnment. Tho new class room was reserved for niuaic and a capital concert was given, though entbmiastic dancers wore casting lunging glaacea at t!io ball room during the latter part of tho programme. Nuppnr was served shortly after ten, ono dancing then commenced in tho rgo infant room which had been most tastefully and handsomely decorated for the occision. Mr W. H. Jackson, the Secretary of the Coiiversaziuno Committee, is to he heartily congratulated on tho success of the ovening, and ihat ho had been helped by willing hands wna shown by tho completeness of all the arrangements ami tho elaborate and skilful decorations. Excellent musio was voluntarily Eupphed by Mr A. von Keiscnbern's Band and (lancing was kept up until a lato hour. In tho earlier part of the ovening tho concert room was crowded, and tho following wellknown local singers were most heartfly applauded for their efforts. " Thero is a fluwor." Mr W. Simms; "Caller Herrin," Miss Fuller; "My Life for Tnoe," Mr Forde, Draga's beautiful Serenata was sang with much feeling by Mrs Butement. Mrs C, K Cockburn-Hood accompanied on the piano, and Mr Gindersgave the violin obligato. Miss Watson and Messrs Astall, Flux and Oarer also performed, and a song by Mr Pearce dealing with tho well known legond of 8100 Beard, which ended up with " God Save the Queen,' 1 concluded a first class programme,
