Auckland, May 7, At the Atheletio Club's sports in the Domain on Saturday, the Olub discovered ceatain bookmakers betting on the course. A policeman, who was requested to remove tbem, went to doso, but eventually retired leaving them masters ol the field, for they refused to budge. Ihe Club inteud writing to the City Council on the matter, wiph the, view of ascertaining their position with regard to. bookmakers and belting on this ground. rk -*
