Dunedin, Thursday, The question of marriage with a deceased wife's sister was before the Presbytery yesterday, when an overture was introduced asking the Synod to remove the barrier to union with tho Northern Church caused by the existing difference on the question. The Rev. W. Wills, in moving it said it was undesirable that tho Church should .bold such marriages to be illegal. Some members of the Church who had contracted such' marriages were shaiing all the benefits of connection with the Church. The consideration of the matter was adjourned after some debate.
