THE GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD.
Important Solutions, (By Telegraph,—Press Association,) Gisbobhe, Friday. The Harbour Board decided last night to sell their fine plant consist ing of 40 tons of Hercules and Goliath I cranes, locomotive etc, to the Napier Harbour Board who will shortly be requiring like machinery for additions to tbeir works, 'I be Board al-o decided to promote a bill next session to wmpel the Public Trustee to invest 1 their loan moDeys, subject to the control of the Board, The Fublio Trustee has lent it to the Government at i\ per cent and the Board have to pay the British bondholders $n par cent,, thus the district loses £I,OOO per annum. The jjcard says that the money could invested in the district than jflH^^^B^
