MASTERTON PARK TRUST.
Special Ming. A special meeting of tho Masterton Park Trust, was held yesterday afternoon, Present Messrs J, Payton (Cbairmon) Boddington and F. G, Moore, The Secrotary read a letter from tho Town Lands Trustees, stating that that body would prefer a deputation from tho Park Trusl waiting upon them boforo replying to the late application.
The Chairman said thero seemed some difficulty in dealing with the Tonn Lunds Trust. He should therefore move that a deputation wait on the Trustees, with somi' authority to act, The lirst thing required was n grandstand probably costing about 1200, A separate ground for football and water for the Cricket ground would also be required in time. Tho Park Trust would lmvo to keep these matters in viow, if they retained tlio management, He should suggest that tho deputation keep tbeso points in view, [t would be well if the Town Linda Trust would subsidiso these works, Of eourso if the Town Lauds Trustees were prepared to take over the Park, he understood the feeling of the Trust whs in favor of giving up tho management to that body, Mr Boddington objected to making one of a deputation because his views were well-known. If the Town Lands Trust would not takeover the manage inent,be would like to seo tho Borough Council have control of the Park.

The motion was altered to read: "That the privilege do not include or interfere with the running track round tho Oval, on days on which publio gatherings and gate charges aro sanctioned," and carried.
