In consequtnee,' however, of the retrospective legislation, passed last session, at the instance of the Tax Department, the parties 10 the suit decided to refer tho case back to fhe Judge, and this morning he reversed his decision, holding that in the light of fresh legislation op the subject, the Bank was liable to the tax.
