GREYTOWN BRASS RAND.

(From Our Own Correspondent),

A public meeting was held last night to consider the best means of reorganising the Greytown Private Band, His Worship the Mayor, Mr J. D. ideagerty, occupying the choir. After some disoussion it was resolved to re-organise, and make the Band a public one. • MrM.R Varnham was appointed bandmaster at a salary of £6O per annum. Messrs Heagerty and Haigh were appointed Trustees, in whom band property is to be vested. Mr fl, R. ffood was eleoted Secretary. It was resolved to hold a concert at an early dale, and also to serensde residents at a speoified date, when donations will be thankfully reoeived.
