The others are the same. vlt is notes* peoted the result of theV poll will be known until Wednesday morning, as the returns will take muoli longer to make up with 16 candidates and the addition of the.prohibition poll. Every voter will be supplied with two papers, and the Deputy Returning Officer will 'tick off each name on. the roll as the voter comes in. By this means it will be known how many people vote, and in totalling up the number the informal votes will be counted in to ascertain whether one half theuumberon the roll have voted. Should less than one half the total number vote then there will be no ocoasion to ascertain whether 3-sths majority exists on the question of (3) whether any, licenses are to be granted. :■ ■

Mr Donald being accepted by both sides should top ' the poll with say 2000,. Mr. Bright 1200, Mr Bunny 1200, Mr DiHer 1200, Mr Grace 1200, Mr i'airbrothor 100 C,. Mr Stevens 1000, Mr Wood 1000, with Messrs Proctor and Miller close up, then Messrs Harris, Burt, Hillier, Oonsidioe, and Heagerty or Dudding ast.
