The Loan and Mercantile,, The Gumdiggers and the Premier. (By Telegraph,—Press Association). Avckland, Saturday.. The general manager of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company , has received intimation from London that the Court has fixed 21st March for the further consideration of the reconstruction scheme, ■ < < t; A deputation of gum-diggers waited' on the Premier, urging that roadworks should be.started if the gum-diggers arc not to be thrown on public obarity. The . Premier said that works only would be started where they would be reproductive, He would, however, consider if any assistance could be given to them,
