Lowes and lorn Stock Sale • Report,-.: At yeatarday's aale ; tbe attendance was the maximum of the. season. The yards were well filled, and 15,000 sheep changed hands under the hammer;'prices were as usual in favor of buyers. The following prioes were obtained:-Pat and forward wethers, 8s 9d to 9s 6d; store wethers', 7s 6d to 8s 6d; mutton emty 7a fro 83; store ewes, freßh, 6sto7a 3d, braiding 1 ewea, 4s to 7a 6d j oulla, 2a to 8a 9d; lamba Bato63j culls, Is9d to2s6rl; Bomn«y rame, Ito 2J guineas; Liuoolnß,2 tootli,2J to 8 guineas; old rams Ito 1| guineas; Border Leicester, 5 guineas; .Downs, Jto 1J guineas. Cattle were a little easier, the demand less aotive. The tone of the sale wa* livelier, keen interest being displayed throughout, but prices were well in favour of buyers, Lowes & tea. Messrs Abraham and Williams re-i port at their fortnightly stook sale at Pabiatua :~ Considerably more stook came forward .than wai antioipated, tlie yarda being taxed boyond" their capaoity. Sheep were sent away tor want of accommodation, At the start things were very dull, but improved later on ; nearly all lines passed were sold privately afterwards; all Bbeep of good quality were well competed for, but old culls were neglected, A large entry of rams went off at good Bgures. Cattle were not much in demand, many lines failing to find pur 1 chasers. In iheep, lwt young Lincoln ewes made 9s 2d; Romneys, 8s; 4 year Lincoln ewes, a line;of 500 reached 6a 6d I i year Romneys, Gs 6d; medium ewee, sa; old culls, 2s 6d to la Id; young wetherß, 65.6 dto 7b 8d; lambß,' shorn, 4s 6d, down to 2s Cd; Linooln rams from 1 to 8} guineas;. Hornneyn, | euinea to 2 guineas. In cattle, fat bullocks, L 6,; fat cows, U 15a 10 L 5 7s 6d; store oowfl, 70s j young steerfl, 50s to 655; yearlings, 80s; calves, 245; dairy stock was poorly represented.
