On the motion of Lieutenant* Kirk, it was resolved that the sektioo of Ihe range for JB9G be Mt to the annual meeting of 1895 to deoide.

Mr P. Williams, Napior, understood that Trentham, Wellington, was to be the permanent range in tfao North Island, and he thought the Association should not abandon it, He moved that Trentham be used next year.

Lieutenant Rose, Napier, seconded the motion.

Major Somerrille exp'aiued that Trentham range had been leased by the Assooifttiou for fifteen yjars at £2O a year, and the costs of improvements made by the Association was to go towards paying the rent. The value of improvements effected thereby was auoh that the Association was now free of rent for about six years. The Premier too bad promised him !to assißt the Association in erecting permanent buildings on a permanent i range, Tho Association never would bo a auocess while they moved, about all over the Colony. What the 1 Association wanted was to curtail expenses, and it could only do this by settling down, Mr Williams' amendmentinfavour of Trentham was carried by a large majority.

Major Sooierviile said the Council intended to fake steps respecting the large number whoMived out of camp, and next year they would probably insist on an extra sum being paid wnh the entrance foe, He wanted it settled at once and for all time whether they were to have a camp or not. The meoting decided to retain the camp' The meeting brcko up with cheers for Major Bomervillo and Captain Collins.
