A matoh was played on the Park Oval yesterday between the- above teams, resulting in a \?in w the Excelaiors by 22 runs on the first inuings. The Farmers went first to - the wickets, and made a very creditable stand" with 57 runs, D. Oaselberg(ls),W. W. Smith (13), and Richards (11), playing well for their totals. Tho Excelsiors then went in, and the first wickets fell fast aud furious, five men being out for seventeen runs. Riohards andll. Wrigley got together, and made an excellent stand, 62 runs being totalled before they were disposed of, Wrigley was top Bcore with a billia'nt 28,.Riohards andT. Wrigley 12 each being the next in order.
