SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT PAHIATUA

Mr B. Budden has been most unfortunately this seaßon in the matter of accidents- to his :teams;"7 Another occurred yesterdayAorniug . when the driver and a, Ur'named Prebble narrowly escaped with theft lives, they were driving a brake f; loaded with bricks,.near the Maka-' . kahi when a milk cart rushed by,-: striking the leaders, who at onoo [swerved and falling over 1 the bluff upset the' 1 vehicle.. The driver—; Harris-jumped down, but the lad was.buried below the bricks, Fortu- > natcly he fell under the seat wkioh , being a very large one saved him from ' being'utterly crushed. When extricated he was badly bruised aboufc'lhe h'ead and body and lies in a very critical condition. '■.:''•
