(By Telegraph.—Press Association), Wellington, Wednesday. ; Argument in tho Stout olectioo petition oase was resum-d this morny ing by Mr Jollicoe, who contended with reference to the third ground ol his motion, that the Court hud no power to enlarge the time for the publicaiion of the petition. MrPoynton addiessing the Court said his client Lindsay hud been misled into making charges unwillingly, and charges that he had no grounds for suhsladtiating, and did not ereo know of when he signed the petition. Air Edwards for the petitioner Kobclt, argued that it was not necessary the petition should be served on the Eeturning Officer personally. He also contended that security had been lodged in time.
