UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD.
Ordinary Meeting. Tho ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on February 3rd, Present: Messrs Moßao, Mackay and Perry. Mr Mcßao was elected Cbairman pro lem, The minutes of the provious meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was received: From the Mauriceville Road Board requesting a lißt of the properties about to bo transferred to the Mauriceville Eoad District from the Upper Taueru Road District,—Frpm the County Clerk re, alteration of road district boundaries. —From Commissioner of Crown Lsndß re, expenditure of thirds and fourths from Crown Lands,—From the Secretary to the Treasury re. accrued thirds and fourths,-From same requesting payment of ±2015s id, being half year's interest on loan of £B3O lis lid.—From Messrs Lang Bros., requesting the Board to ask Mr Macßae to place a on the Mungerai Boad at the junction of the County road.—From Messrs NichollsandLaing, asking the Board to call a meeting of the mte> payers interred in making a road up the Mungnpurapuru Creek—From Mr A. It, Perston, requesting the services of the roadman to put in order the river ford.—From Mr Cockburn-Hood, requesting the Board to grant tho services of the roadman to Bpread metal on the cutting leading to the Taueru from the red gate, and offering the Bourd the use of horses and cart to carry the metal from the river. Resolved that the list of properties, with valuations, areas, etc., be sent to the Mauriceville Road Board as re' quested,—That the sobeduleof thirds arid fourths acorued from the Orown Lands be filled in and forwarded to Commissioner of Crown Lands.— That tho river ford be put in order at once for Mr Perston.—That the question of placing a gate at the junotion of the Mungerai and County roads be deferred until that part of the Mungerai road is formed.—That Mr Cook. burn-Hood's application re metalling stand over till next meeting—That the Clerk be instructed to issue summonses for all rates not paid within 14 days.—That the Mauriceville Road Board be written, asking the Board to grant the sum of £8 to place in a culvert and make Side cutting on the road through Mr Rutberfurd's property, or to send a man to do the work.—That the next meeting of the Board be held on tho first Saturday in March.
