COMMERCIAL.

Mr D. Crewe reports on his etook sale held at Pahiatua yeat-rday (Tuesday 30th) as follows:—There waa considerably moro stock brought forward than advertised, nearly every pen being filled. !Ton attendance was good, Large store oattle were dull ib demand, For young stook the bidding was brisk, and showed a marked improvement from former sales. Several lines were quitted at good prices under the hammer, and most of tha lines passed in were ultimately sold privately, others were returned owing to the high reserves placed on them. It appears quite clear to me that owners roust submit to general reduction in prices alj round.; My next sale at Pahiatua will lie held on February Utu. ' ' '.•■■:
