"THE CUP THAT CHEERS."

The competition in every branch of trade has of Into j ears greatly increased, but is in none more oonspiouous than in the business of tea blending. This may be accredited to the advance of the growers' interests in India and CeyloD, who now have practically se* 1 soured the greater portion of the colonial trade. Ceylonteasarenowparticular favourites and are most extensively üßod for blending purposes, We have to make special referonoe to the blends known as the " Tiger" and ''Mandarin " both of which have been lately introduced to the the Wairarapa by Messrs John Graham and Go,, of Maiterton; These teas from wbiob these blends are put up are procured by the importers, from ioum of the best gardeusiu India and Oeylon, They are bill-grown and carefully selected, so that they can be confidently recommended to the public as a pure and wholesome beverage. The blenders have succeeded so far in scouring an enormous demand lor their teas, and we have no doubt that as soon as they have been fairly tried here, the unanimous verdict will be that for purity, strength and flavour the" Tiger" and " Mandarin " blends are seoond to none in the market. We congratulate the agents, whose advertisement appears in this issue, on their endeavour to secure an article of this class.
