SAD DROWNING FATALITY.

McCauley, of the s.s Ellen Bullance, of a sad boating fatality which ocoured ai Oroniorongo near Pencarrow Head, in the after noon. Very few details of till accident are to hand, but it appeari that three sons of Airs Tippler won sailing in an open boat up a lagoon when ono of them fell out of the bon into the water, and was drowned he fore the others could reach him. Tin body sank, and has not yet been re coTeied. The pilot crew were in formed of the occurence, and atoncf proceeded to the spot, but were un able to entor tho lagoon conseqnom on the depth of wniet not being sufficient. The police are to send oui a dingy by the Ellen Bullance thil morning, with grapling irons, for tht purpose of dragging for the body. Much sympathy is felt for Mn Tippler, who not long since lost hei husband just after his premises or Lainbton quay had been destroyed bj tire.— N,/j. 'limes.
