Coroners Inquest Vei diet of Wilful Murdei. (By Telegraph,- Press Association),

Dunedih, January 8.

The inquest concerning the death of William * Undge, stabbed at South Dunedin on Christmas Ere, was concluded to-day. Constable Dale, who said he had attended an ambulance class, and knew how to give first aid, deposed that there was no bleeding when he I examined Mudge's wound, and though at first he thought it was only a flesh wound he made a pari, and bandaged the leg. . When Eufner was arrested on the charge of murder and cautioned be said:" I know nothing about it, All right," Eufner was not arrested until two hours after the murder. Sergeant Brown gave evidence as to arresting Dobson, who, when told there had been a row, said, " Yes, I only did it in self defence. Seven of them set ou us, and I did it to protect a woman." When a knife was taken from his pocket, be said, "Thatis my knife—the one I used, in self defence. I'll tell the truth if I swing for it. A man can only die once," The Coroner having summed up, the jury returned a verdict, " That the deceased died! through loss of blood from a wound in the left thigh, the wound having been inflicted either by Richard Dobson orEberhardt Enfaer, and that these two men are guilty of wilful murder. A rider was added that each suburban police! station shoild be connected with the central telephone station.

The accused were then committed' for trial.
