We held our monthly sale at Okaiawa on Thursday, the 7th inst, The number of stock yarded were quite equal to what where advertised, and included about 82 good dairy cows and heifers, tbe property of Messrs 11, L. Walking and H. Cook. There was a good attendance and bidding was particularly brisk for fat stock and dairy cows, other varieties alsocomiDg in for a fair sharo of attention, so that the bulk of the stock entered changed bands at the hammer, We quote:— Fat bullocks, £6 7s to £6l7s; 12 to 18 months steers, £2 Os Gd to £3los; weaners, £2 2s to £2 7s; dairy cows and springers, JM 5s to £7 0s; fat sheep (mixed), lis,
There was a fair muster of both cattle and sheep at Manaia on Wednesday, the 13th inst,, though the demand for the former was rather limited and somo lines returned home unsold, cheep Trere in better request and we were able to clear the bulk of what wore yarded at fnirly good prices.
