The Eqmont Fanners' Onion, Limited. Hawera, August 24, We had a small sale at Stratford on Friday, tbo 18th inst,, barely the advertised number of oatlle coming forward, however, all that were yarded sold and realised good prices either at the hammer or immediately after. Wo quote:—2J to 3 year steers £i 19s; 12 to 18 months steers. £2 15s to £8 11a; springers, £i 5s to £7 2s Gd; boilers in calf, £8 10s to £3l7s, At Hawera in the Glover Road yards, on Wednesday, inst., the entries were very large/M bulk of which were of first-olass quality, and ns the day was the exception to the rule, i.e., fine, a large number of settlers attended. Bidding to keen from start to finish, though at the close of the sulo a few stock returned home unsold although good values were offered for every line. We quote:-Fat bullooks, M 6s to £6 10b; 2i to 3 year bullocks, £5 to £5 1b ; 18 months steers, £8 us to £8 10s 6d; yearlings and weaners, £1 14s to £2 %; tut cows, £5 8s to £5 ss; springers, £5 to £1 ; heifers iu calf, £8 14s to £4 8s; 18 months to 2 year heifers, £2 16s to £3 ss. Sheep: Fat ewes, 9s 3d; ewes in lamb, 10s Gd.
