Oounoil Chamber yesterday afternoon, the attractions no doubt being the anticipated debate on tho Electoral Bill, which however, did not take place in consequence of the second reading being postponed till to-day. It was as follows : 1800-91 1891-92 1892-93 £i d £b d £» (1 RewipU .. 8)03 18 4 7120 5 3 020615 7 ExpcndltureG73l 4 0 6230.2 8 609118 9 There is a foot-noto to the roturn which states that the above represents the amount actually charged against tho vote for bankruptcy for the three years naifeg but in addition tbcro is fairly chargeable to bankruptcy a proportion of tho annual cost of the Buprcmo Court and nearly the whole cost of the District Courts. If these amounts wore so charged tho apparent surplus of receipts over expenditure, shown abovo, would disnjipeur.—Press.
