WELLINGTON LAND BOARD

Ordinary Meetinq, The ordinary meoling of the above Board was held yesterday, the following, amongst other business, being transacted. Mr Thos. Benton, jurir., waited on the Board in referenco to the proposed forfeiture of sections 86 aud 87 Block XVI, Mangaone small grazing run. Ho wished to transfer the run as he did not understand ho would have to reside on it when he took it up, Tho matter was deferred until a later stuge of the meeting. Messrs Higgins, Dawson and Kirk waited on tile Board in reforenco to the section on which Mr Hiugina resided at Mangnone as substitute. The matter had been held over from the provioua meeting to enable a settlement to be arrived at, Subsequently a transfer to Mr Higgins was granted, Mr McOurdle interviewed tho board in reference to the lease of a tobra reserve at Mangahao, and offered the use of his section adjoining for an outlet (the only possible one), proud.ing the board allowed him to purchase the reserve after the timber is off. It was decided to get Mr MoCardle to put the oiler in writing, The following applications for land were ricordedGeorge Stone, John Hall, John Dcmpsey, John Leeney, and Williiim Moualoy, sections in Tutaekura villago, llr Buohanan wiited on tho Board in referenco to on application from Messrs Baesott and Waterson to increase their holdings on tho Taratabi Plains Block.
