Tho last'UJatch between these two teams resulted iu a draw. The effect of tbe inclusion of tho four new men from New Zealand was manifest in tho scrums iu the Bathurst game, Oliphant and Gray played an excellent game, and Umlue and Hiroa, too, were prominent among tho forward division, Butland and Shannon, the two halves, and Bayley, three-quarter, were the pick of the backs, tbe last named making sorao strong rushes. The local forwards wero veiv strong, but lack of con:* bination was apparents, aud they were badly supported by tho backs.
