A letter from the Otago Union, asking whether the Wellington Union would be be able to meet their team during the present season, was considered at the meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Union last night, and it was decided to apply to the New Zealand Union for permission to play the Southerners,
The following (earn will represent the Masterton seoond fifteen against the Stars on Saturday on the Oval. Full back, Jaro, three-quarters, Broad, Chambers, J. Earaitiann; halves, Welch, Jumbo, Tingi; forwards, Ranganui, Kates, Mundy, Jeffries, (Captain) Kwia, Pahau, Eton, Geo, Karaitiana, Emergencies: Backs D'Arcy, Owen; forwards Moses and Tuipu.
Tho following team will represent 2nd Orientals against the Homebush on Saturday, July 22nd:—Pull-back, W. Johnston; three-quarters, Welch, Jenkins, Baggo; halves, J. Wickens, Reynolds; forwards, Pickering, Morris, T, Wickens, Nicol, Willis, King, Braggins, Reynolds, fiobiqson; emergencies, Braggins, Wilton, Curson.
