Wellington, Thursday. A deputation from the Pahiatua County Council interviewed the Minister of Lands this morning, in re> ference to certain bridges over the Tiraumea Biver, towards the cost of which they asked a subsidy of pound for pound. The Minister admitted that tho FortyMile Bush had pressing claims on the Department, and Baid he would give the applications his serious consideration.
