SAD POISONING FATALITY.
Mrs Sunnex, wife of MrT. Sunnex, of Belvedere (whose death we briefly recnrdedinour last issue) died through misadventure, Deceased was suffering from a complication of diseases and she knew that a fatal termination was certain at an early period, she having au internal cancer and heart complaint. Dr. Dixon, who was attending her, saw her on Monday and 6be asked for a further supply of the cough mixture which he'had prescribed for her and he promised to prepare it for her. According to the Observer, in the same house one of the lads was laid up with a swelling on the foot, and Dr Dijkson said he would seud him an embrocation of belladonna and glycerine with which he was to paint the affected part. The doctor on returning home prepared the embrocation and cough mixture and they were duly called for by one of the children and taken away. At 3 o'clock an urgent message was , brought for Dr Dicb»:n to attend on j Mrs Sunnex who was taken worse. Dr Dickson on arriving at the hous6found , Mrs Sunnex in a state of coma. Ho | saw at a glance what was wrong, and , looking at the boltlea fonnd the wrong , labols had been put on theni and a | leaspoonful of the embrocation had < been administered in mistake for the i :ough mixture and her insensibility | was due to narcotio poisoning. He i ipplied tho prescribed remedies and t emptied the stomach, but failed to 8 evive the poor woman, Dr Bey was elegraphed for, but their united ifforts failed to revive her, and Bhe j lied at half past ton that night, ( „" c
