Was it the Monkey ? (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wellington, Tuesday, ! Measles are still raging badly, and . tho attendance at tho public schools, which re-opened yesterday, was very ' poor, It-is the worst outbreak for ' thirteen years, the feature of it being thununioer of adults attacked. A report ia going about that the peculiar virulence of tho epidemic is owing to 1 the fact that it was introduced by Fillis' circus, a monkey in which died of tho measles whilst in Wellington. J The disease contracted from animals ' is said to bo much wotso than the ' ordinary foim.
