Jacob Johnston v. W. Carey.— Judgment summons. Mr Acbesou for judgment oreditor, Wm. Hercookj on oath, deposed that he had intercepted the'dobtor in a first-class carriage at the Carterton Railway Station, and questioned him as to bis movements. he was on his way to Wellington, and from there to Chriatchurch. Witness then told debtor that if he did not leave the carriage there would be a ' row. Debtor then left the train and returned to Mastei'ton. An order was made for immediate payment on service of fault iO days in WellngfoirTeSiffe" gaol. Evidence was taken in a Wellington case Norali M'Mahon v. Ryan.— Claim £ll4s for wages, in lieu of notice and breach of contraot, De« fendant, on oath, pleaded that she was not indebted and stated plaintiff bad never been engaged by her as Bervant. . She oame upon May 28rd,.atayed as a boarder till 25th, and tben'left. The evidence waß forwarded to town. Mr.Acheson appeared for defendant. J, OMi r. Paltcn, Claiffl#)
108 for poils and st'ikes, Tlio defendant repudiated tho liability of the poslß, a great many boing condemned as not lit for uso. After hearing evidence, judgment for plaintiff with oosta was given. Mr Acheson appeared for plaintiff.
