Monthly Meeting. Tho usual monthly mooting ol the Featherston Town Board was held on Monday night thero being present Mossrs Cmidy (Chairman), Reynolds, Barr, Beal and Donald. Tho minutes of the last meeting wore read nnd confirmed. Tho potmdkeeper handed in the sum o! Gs 4d. Tho Treasurer reported a debit of £2313 Id. Accountsamounting to £B7 lGs lOd were passed for payment, . The Clerk laid on the tahlo Ihe forms necessary for an application for subsidy on rates collected. Dog registration fees to the amount of £1 Is wore handed in.
Tho collector reported tho amount of rates collected at L2l 8a and rent at L 8 Gs.
Tho Works Committee's report was read,
It was resolved to apply to the County Council for a grant of L2O towards maintaining Filzherbert St, which is a portion of the County road,
It was resolved on Mr Harris' notice of motion that metalling over Hvo chains in extent lie done by contract « here possible. It was decided to pay Mr J. Hodder a bonus of £2 10*, over the price 0' the work recently eariied out by bim. CEMETERY TRUST.
A meeting of tho Cemetery Trustees was then hold. The minutes of the hst meeting were read and confirmed, Tho Treasurer reported n credit balanco of £29 lis Bd, and accounts amounting to £slos wore passed for payment. After some discussion re the misplacement of grave fences, the moling terminated.
