TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.

Ordinary Meeting.

The ordinary monthly meeting of' tlio above Board was held on Saturday last, Present—Messrs E. R, Bunny (Chairman), H. Braithwaite, James Stevene, W. B. Allen, J. Rayner, G. W, Deller, Geo. Carter, Geo. Stevens and Wm. Miller.

The minutes of the provious meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported the bank overdraft as £1262 14s Id, and rates collected about;£4oo; rates outstanding £ISOO. Correspondence was received from the Bank of N.Z, agreeing to the Board's request in respect to the overdraft. From the roadman on the Glad-stone-Wainuiorii road, asking, for some assistance aa there are so many Blips he it unable to overtake the Work.—Resolved that be be allowed to employ two or three extra bands, . From Mr F, H, Wood asking that some metalling be done leading to the 'Clarevillo Sale Yards.—After sotoe discission it was resolved that Mr Wood be informed that it would be a bad precedent.for the- Board to accede to hia request, but if he liked to have the work done the Board would allow him to take gravel from the Board's pits, - ■ From Mr Thompson re laying off certain roads.-Besolved that he'bo
