EKETAHUNA ROAD BOARD.
The usual meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday last. Present-Messrs 'lVParsons (Chairman), Matheson, Neilson, Biyliss, Dowsett and Anderson,
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Jt was resolved that Mr Price be requested to make more secure the gate to his bullock paddock. CORHESPONDENCE.
From the County Olerk realteration of boundaries. It was resolved that the Board agrees to the new boun* daries.
From D, McGill re balance due to him on deposit. It was resolved that as the Board hold a reoeipt in full, no aotion could be taken.
From A, H. Wright, re road to his soction.-It was resolved that Mr Wright be informed that the Government will do the road work ia the Stirling Special Settlement, From Mr Jannett, requesting the engineer to lay off roads. From Government Auditor, requesting the Olerk to tako books to Masterton for audit. It was resolved that the Auditor* General be informed that the Board objeota to the Olerk taking the books to Masterton, as the flork could be done at Eketahuna when the Auditor passes through from Pahiatua. From Land and Incomo-Tax Department, re percentage due on general rate.
ft \m resolved that all rites unpaid for six months be sued for. From Bank 1?, Zealand, acknowledging receipts in hind amounting to
From Mr Smith, forwarding receipt in full of all olaims of Mr Dawson, contractor.
From Lowes and lorns forwarding cheque for road to sale yards, From Mr Greville re plans of Mangaoronga bridge and stating that they would be completed in a few days. -It was resolved that a special meeting be held at i p.m. on July Bth to idspect plans of bridge, Mr Bright applied for permission to erect a tramway across the road at his mill.—Granted.
Mr Garter asked the Board to take Bteps to have the obstructions re* moved from the road leading from the church to the school, The meeting then adjourned,
