MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

Ordinary Meeting,

Tbo ordinary monthly meeting of the Masterton Road Board was held on Saturday last. Present—Messrs McKenzie (in the chair;, Holmes, Cameron and Harris. JIItfUKS. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, ROAD DEVIATION. It was resolved that the Clerk ob; tain the necessary consents to the proposod road deviation at Upper Opaki, tbe same to be endorsed on the proposal. ALTERATION or BOUNDARIES, Mr Harris proposed and Mr Holmes seconded, tbat the Board is prepared to alter the boundary between sub' divisions No, 1 and 2, in accordance with tbe petition, excepting therefrom the property of Air W. Dagg. Tbe motion was lost on the costing, vote of the Chairman. The Chairman moved and Mr Cameron seconded" that the petition be referredback to the petitioners, and their attention drawn to the necessity for advertising the intention to present the petition in accordance with the provisions of section 11 of the Road Boards Act, of 1882.—Carried.

Fersridoe Road. The Engineer ,was authorised to special a further sum of £ls (out of the Burnett's Loan) in repairing the Ferntidge branch road.

FINANCE. The report of tbo Finance Committeo showed a net credit at bank of of £458 6s 2d. Accounts were pro sented for payment amounting to £579 7s 3d (inoluding £440 14s 2d unexpended balance of North Croft's Road Loan, repaid into Treasury). The report was adopted as read.
