Installation of W.H. at Greytown.
About fifty brethren of the N. Z. Constitution, assembled at Greytown last evening to he present at the installation of Bro. A. L, Webster, P.M., as Worshipful Master of tho Gioyiown Masonio Lodge, amongst t!icßo present being tho K.W., Bro, H. J. Williams, Grand Superintendent of the Wellington District. The Masterton, Carterton, and Featherston Lodges were also well represented, The ceremonies were most impressively conducted by W. Bro, N. Grace, P.M., who acted as Installing Master, Bro, T.E.Price, P.M., acting as Master of Ceremonies, The beauty of tho service was considerably enhanced by the assistance of an orchestra from Carterton, consisting of Bros. Moore (organ); W. MoKonzie, (violin) ; M. R. Yarnbatn (double bass); T. A, Weston (comet); A. Bish (olarionclV
After Bro, Webster bad been duly nstalled, the following brethren were invested as officers for the ensuing year:-S.W., Bro. B, Ward Tate; J.W., Bro. H. Stratton Izard; Sec-, rgtary, Bro, Roche; Treasurer, Bro. Flux; S.D., Bro. Spring; J.D., Bro. Hart Udy, junr,; 1.G., Bro. Eogerß; Tyler, Bro. King. The Lodge was closed about nine i p.m., when an adjournment was made 'to the supper-room, and an enjoyable time spent. The following toasts were honoured:—"TueQueen and the Craft," proposed by Bro. F.H.Wood, P.M.; " New Zealand Grand Lodge," proposed by Bro. R. Bright, P.M., and responded to in an able and instruotivo speeob, by the B.W. Grand Superintendent; "Sister Constitutions," proposed by Bro. F. H, Wood, and responded to by Bro. W. F. Croxton of Bute Lodge, Cardiff, Eng.j " Visiting Brethren" proposed by Bro. Bright and replied to by Bro, 0. A. Pownall (W.M.; Lodge Mosterton); Bro, ft Darby (W.M., Lodge St. Mark's, Carterton); and Rev. Bro. T. Porritt, P. G, Chaplain, (representing St. Luke's Lodge, Featherston) ; "The Worshipful Master," proposed by Bro. F. H. Wood and replied to by Bro. Dr Bey (on behalf of Bro. A. L. Webster, who owing to the severe indisposition of a member of bis family, was obliged to absent himself from the banquet); The "1.P.M.," proposed by Bro. Tate and suitably acknowledged by Bro. F.H.W00d,1.P,M,; "Tho Installing Master," proposed by Bro. Bright in a most eulogistic speech ;"Totbo Memory of Bro, W. Bkeet,P.M.,"propo3od byßro.Dr Bey, whoin feeling terms alluded to thelate brother's excellent qualities as a man and a Masou.
