ESTIMATES. The estimated receipts and expenditure for tho current year was read by the Secretary. Mr Kasthopo moved that Mr Beard and himsolf wait on the Town Lands Trust with reference to tho usual grant.-Seconded by Mr Morris. Mr Beard said h? should lib the motion to and would(# suggest that also urge the advisability Ci'-fotting aside a> certain sum for a scholarship, The motion as amended was carried, ACCOUNTS, An account from R, E. Homblow im£l 3s was passed for payment. TOWN LAUDS TRUST OBANT. Mr Beard proposed, and Mr Wagg seconded, that the sum of £6O bo applied for as a grant from the Town Lands Trust. Mr Beard said that they had to recollect they wero asking for £SO, and also that a sum be set aside for a scholarship. His idea was that there should be no distinction of persons, and his feeling was that the Town Lands Trust should give a speoial scholarship irrespective of tho position of parents. After considerable discussion the motion was carried, ABSENTEE I^tf 1 . The absentee list dealt with, and the meeting adjourned,
