TheHomhle Bill. London, Jurjo 17, In Committee on the Homo Rule Bill, tho Irish members and 70 of the Radical Party voted against Mr Gladstone's acceptance of a Unionist amendment, and several of both these sections protested against tbe unaccountable fatuity of the Government in conceding amendments, when tbe measure was at an irreducible minimum, Mr Clanoy, M.P. lor Dublin North, was very' empbatio in his protest against in accepting Unionist amendments, and suggested that the revolt among the Irish members was attributable to dissatisfaction with the new financial proposals of the Government. An amendment to the 4th olause of the Home Rule Bill, to prevent the 'subsidising and encouragement of the use of the Irish language in tbe Courts and schools was negatived amid much ridicule, It was stated that 700,000. of the Irish people spoke the Erse tongue. Mr G. W.
